“How did it go?” Sofia asked the minute she saw me at the hospital. From the way I saw her, she was pacing around with her hands crossed over her chest.

I shrugged and took a seat close to her.

She stopped pacing and stood before me, searching my face.

“I can’t believe that bitch would do that! I can’t even imagine the level of her stupidity!” Sofia complained, I could hear the anger in her voice.

I didn’t even have the strength to hate on any of them. Whether it was Ivy or Xavier, I was sick and tired of it all and wanted everything to end at the moment.

“We both know why she did that and she got what she wanted.” I replied coldly.

Sofia squatted on hearing my voice and the hurt in it, she patted me gently.

“Did Xavier do anything to help you or did he just stare at you like you are a ghost?” She asked, anger rising in her voice again.

I shook my head slightly with a smile.

“I didn’t even expect him to do anything this time around. I guess I have started getting used to his treatments. And he didn’t even stare at me. He acted like I was totally invincible.” I replied and let out a sharp sigh almost immediately.

A sigh to let her know that I was done with the topic.

“Can we not talk about this any more?” I asked and she nodded immediately.

“Of course, sure. His name doesn’t deserve to be on both our lips.” She replied, totally in support of me.

“You know what I think we should do?” She asked

“I think we should treat ourselves to a mind blowing breakfast. I’m thinking chicken meat and some bread with a special sauce I will make with special herbs that will help to ease up this feeling you have.” Sofia suggested and I was down for it.

I had nothing better to do with my time than watch her prepare her special sauce and tell me stories about how the herbs were found and what they do.

“That is a good idea. But first, I need to go grab my bag and things that I left in Xavier’s room.” I replied and she nodded thoughtfully.

“That’s right. I’ll head to the kitchen first then.” She replied and I nodded.

Since Xavier had another woman sleeping with him in his room, it was only right that I went to get my clothes. He made me take to his room while he was feeding me with lies about how he wanted me and couldn’t get enough of me. Clearly, he had more than enough and wanted nothing to do with me.

I walked to his chambers. Memories of my first night there resurfaced in my mind and how I frequented the place after that first night. How we had kissed from my room to his chambers, we passed the same hallway and I wondered if he never remembered any of that while moving with a new female.

Then I reminded myself, I was nothing to him anyways.

“I’m here to get my things.” I said to the guard I met manning the door of his chambers.

The guard looked me up and down before replying to me.

“There are none of your belongings here that I know of. Everything has been moved to your room this morning.” The news hit me hard like a tsunami.

’Oh’ I muttered inwardly and turned around. As I walked away, I sighted Ivy coming towards me.

I bobbed my head in regret.

’Aish… did she know that I was coming here? Did someone tell her, why is she coming at the same time?’ I thought of ways to avoid her since she hadn’t caught sight of me yet but there was none that I knew of except I walked back into the Alpha’s chamber and from what I saw there, I wouldn’t be let in even if I tried.

The Alpha’s chamber building only had one entrance to it and one exit so I couldn’t cut corners or anything.

I kept bending my head but I knew that it was going to make it even more obvious that I was the one so I fisted my fingers and pushed my head back up, my lips pressed into a thin line as determination coursed through my veins.

’What’s the worst that can happen right?’ I told myself.

Ivy’s gaze caught mine and a smugish smile crossed her face. The urge to tear that smile off her face irked me but I held myself back, tightening my fists even more until my knuckles went white.

She strutted towards me, her hands swinging sideways like she was on a walkway or something.

“Look who we have here.” She said with a condescending tone.

“Did you think you would meet Xavier and seduce him like you have been doing all this while? It might have worked for you all those while but the real queen is here now, the mistress would have to step down.” She sneered as she spoke.

I ignored her, didn’t even want to engage her. All I wanted to do was get the hell out of there but she didn’t seem like she wanted to let me off easily.

She smiled like she had just seen her new plaything.

“If only you know how much hatred Xavier has for you and how he tells me every night that he regrets having anything to do with you.” She continued.

I inhaled sharply and tried to leave through her side but she stepped in front of me, blocking me passage.

“Tell me, did you want to beg him to let you be his mistress again?” She asked with a sneer but I ignored then she dragged my ear like I was a child being scolded.

Then I thought ’my silence would have mistreated me.’

“Do you really want to know why I am here?” I asked her and her smile waned a little.

“They say that curiosity always kills the cat but I guess the cat asks for it every time.” I spoke through my teeth, my anger rising with every word.

“Your almighty husband to be asked me to come meet him in his chambers. He told me how he had missed me so badly and said how horny he was and how he wouldn’t hesitate to get in between my legs if only I present him the chance!”

“He has been in bondage with you and will do anything to get out of your dark claws into the light.” By the time I finished, she was gritting her teeth hard.

“You… you are lying! You are a liar! He can never ask of you. I satisfy him well, he will not think about you!” She retorted, but it seemed like she was trying to convince herself more than she was talking to me.

“Well, do you make use of that pole in his room? Do you twirl around it and slowly undress yourself? Do you suck him like your life depends on it and take him in fully like he is your master not just your husband to be?” I asked these questions and her face went red by the time I was done.

She bit on her lower lip so hard she must have drawn blood.

“You…!”

“You know what I said is the truth and it will be a lot easier to accept it than deny the truth. Now excuse me before he mistakenly sees me here and gets hard for me.” I replied and brushed past her with a condescending look.

I only heard her gasp as I walked out of the hall.

I might have cooked up a big problem for Xavier but he asked for it while ignoring me and moving with her again out of the blues.

By the time I got to the kitchen to meet Sofia, I wasn’t all that confident anymore.

She was preparing what looked like the sauce she mentioned she would make earlier when she sighted me and she gestured for me to come to her.

I walked briskly to her, my legs began to waver. I might just have put myself in a big problem. What if Xavier denies it and comes to look for me in return to punish me? What if she tells her dad about it and he figures it would be better to get rid of me?

“I fucked up big time.” I muttered when I got close enough to her but she didn’t grab what I said.

“Huh?” She had some of the sauce in her mouth.

“I fucked up big time!” I replied, freaking out.

“Okay, okay, let’s sit. Calm down. You’ll tell me everything in a bit, I need to get this sauce off the fire first.” She replied, leading me to a chair in a corner of the kitchen.

I tapped my leg on the floor restlessly until she joined me on the seat close to me.

“So, what happened?” She asked and I let loose, told her everything that happened and how it happened.

“…I need to run away for dear life. Maybe I should go to my friend’s place and run away with her.” I panicked.

Sofia sighed, rubbing her palm across her face.

“That is some shitty stuff.” Was all she said, she must think I was foolish to let loose like that in front of my worst enemy. I literally lied against the Alpha.

“I think you should eat first before you plan your escape.” She said and I looked at her like she had gone crazy.

“What?”

“Ivy has probably not told the Alpha yet; if not, his guard would have stormed their way to the kitchen and apprehended you. And we both know that there is no way you would be able to escape this pack. Not when her father’s guards are still around, coupled with the pack guards. Except you have a death wish.”

I let out a sigh and my shoulders stooped even lower.

“I guess this is the end.”

“Yeah, it is. But food comes first regardless.” She said as she scooped some of the sauce into a plate for me and dropped a freshly baked bread on the side of the wide plate.
