Chapter 153: Training

The castle compound glowed in daylight as Hades and Ava faced each other. Both were strong, muscles tensed, ready for the fight.

Ava struck first, moving like a fox in motion. Her hands and feet flowed in a perfect rhythm, each strike testing him. Hades met her blows with brute strength, blocking and parrying, but her speed kept him constantly adjusting.

She didn’t stay in one spot. Dropping low, she spun on her palm and aimed a kick at his ankle.

Hades read her move and jumped, landing behind her.

He launched a front kick at her head, but it didn’t connect.

DHAK

A solid sound rang out as Ava brought her arm up just in time. She glanced over her shoulder. “Impressive reflexes.”

Hades chuckled. “I should be saying that to you.”

Ava rolled forward, palms pressing to the ground, and sprang up as if weightless. She landed on a nearby tree branch, eyes locked on her target. Her usual soft expression was gone—replaced by something sharp, predatory.

Hades took his stance, inviting her to attack.

Like an arrow, Ava lunged, her heel aiming for his chin.

Hades ground his teeth, no time to dodge. He raised his forearm and took the kick head-on.

DHAK

The impact rattled his arm, his feet shifted, but he stayed upright.

Ava grinned. “Nice block, young master.”

Hades twisted his arm, trying to trap her leg, but she moved like a cat—smooth, unpredictable.

Flipping back, she landed in front of him again, a playful smirk on her face. “No more running around. Let’s fight for real this time.”

Ava lunged forward immediately, fists snapping like claws. Hades met her with open palms, trying to shove her back, but she was relentless.

Her punches came fast, each one aimed at his shoulders, ribs, and jaw. Hades blocked some, but her strikes were wild, feral, and precise enough to leave him stumbling under the pressure.

He swung a heavy fist at her, trying to counter with brute force. Ava twisted at the last moment, letting his punch glance off her shoulder, then slammed her elbow into his side. Hades grunted, bracing, but she followed with a rapid series of hooks and jabs, each one driving him backward.

Hades planted his feet and swung both arms to catch her wrists. Ava growled, pulling and twisting, her hands like iron as she forced him off balance. He tried to slam her with a body blow, but she ducked slightly, coming up inside his guard with a sharp uppercut to his ribs.

The wind left his lungs for a second. Ava didn’t hesitate. She grabbed his forearm, twisted hard, forcing him to shift, then pummeled his chest with quick, repeated strikes.

Each hit carried the weight of her strength, but she moved like a predator—controlled, precise, savage.

Hades swung again, trying to crush her with sheer force. She ducked under his arms and rammed her shoulder into his midsection, pushing him back.

He growled, pressing his strength against hers, but Ava’s speed and technique didn’t let him dominate.

Finally, she stepped back, fists up, chest heaving, eyes sharp. Hades stood opposite her, breathing hard, muscles tensed.

Neither was injured, but it was clear—her technique and relentless feral assault had forced him to fight at his absolute limit.

“Should we stop here for now?” the pinkette asked, her posture finally relaxing.

Clutching his stomach, Hades nodded. “Yeah, this should be enough.” He could feel the strain in his muscles.

A maid brought over a wet and dry towel, helping him wipe away the sweat.

“Your martial arts skills… combined with your speed… you really are the best training partner I could ask for,” Hades complimented.

Ava had mastered multiple martial techniques, including one that was unique to her tribe.

Hades had always been curious to see how far he could push a true martial artist in a match. Over the past eight days, he had learned that the gap between them was still wide—but that only fueled his motivation..

Sitting down and taking a drink of water, he glanced at her. “It’s been six hours since they left, right?”

Ava nodded. “Yes, young master.”

Hades hummed thoughtfully.

Luna and Peri had started training under Avalin recently. Their lessons had begun just a week ago, and two days ago, Avalin said she would take them to the forest for extra training.

Hades hadn’t resisted. Despite his worries, he trusted his lovers—and he knew it was important for them to understand and grow their newfound powers.

But unlike the past two days, when they had returned within a few hours, today it had already been more than six hours.

A crease of concern appeared on his face.

That’s why, he decided to contact them using their bond.

’Luna? Peri? Are you two okay?’

Silence.

He waited for sometime, but neither of them were responding.

He grew more worried and suddenly got up.

“Young master?” Ava, who was drinking water, suddenly asked after gulping the content in her mouth.

“I will go and check on them.”

Ava insisted, “Let me come as well. I know where they could be training.”

Hades didn’t resist and allowed her to come along.

They soon advanced toward the main entrance. It was the first time since they became Blood Bonds that they didn’t respond to his calls, and that was what making him anxious.

“Young master…look.” Ava pointed in the distance from where a woman was climbing the hill while carrying two familiar figures on her back.

Hades’s pupils shrank as he hurried toward her, Ava following behind.

As he reached Avalin, he checked on the two.

Several minor wounds but they were breathing and seemed safe.

Finally, he looked at the maid and asked, “What happened to them?”

Avalin told him, “Get used to this, young master. Their training sessions are only going to get more rough from here on.”

For once, Hades wanted to take his lovers away from the lady and tell her to no longer teach them.

But then…he remembered his mother’s words

’Avalin has taught me, so I know and trust her skills.’

Taking a deep breath, he took the two from her and wordlessly walked back to the castle.
