Chapter 416: Supreme Paragon
He waved dismissively and replied hastily, “I’m fine, I’m fine. Let’s go, Nyss, we should get moving and pick some fights. I’ve sat here long enough.”
Nyss continued to stare at him for another moment, clearly unconvinced by his sudden shift in mood. However, she respected his privacy and nodded, rising to her feet.
As Orion turned away from her, the forced smile instantly vanished, replaced by a grimace of sheer annoyance. He clenched his teeth tightly, internally lamenting his loss, ’My hard-earned SP… I can’t believe this.’
Walking ahead, he could almost feel Lumi timidly hovering nearby, her tiny screen sweating anxiously in his Sea of Consciousness. She hesitantly ventured forth again,
[Master, could it really be due to her…?]
Orion snapped irritably, clearly still deeply agitated by the disastrous result, ’How would I know for sure? But honestly, there’s no other reasonable explanation. Even if Nyss’s infamous luck doesn’t impact me as severely as others, clearly I’m not completely immune. It’s absurdly unlucky, 270 empties in 500 draws and not a single Rare draw, can you believe that?!’
Lumi’s reply came meekly,
[I-I’m sorry, Master! It must be true, Nyss’s luck is really scary! I’ve never seen something so terrifying! (゚Д゚;)]
Orion sighed deeply, resigned to his fate, silently deciding never again to attempt draws while traveling with Nyss.
He couldn’t exactly blame her for something beyond her control, but it was clear her infamous misfortune was very much real.
He steeled himself, vowing internally to make the next unfortunate souls he encountered pay dearly to soothe his troubled heart.
Walking alongside Orion, Nyss discreetly observed his sour expression. Although she sensed something had happened, she wisely chose not to pry further.
Instead, she subtly moved closer, gently placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder as they moved deeper into the maze.
“Whatever happened, it’ll be alright,” she murmured softly with a warm voice.
Orion felt his heart ease slightly at her warm voice, and the tension on his face softened. He offered her a faint smile, nodding slightly. “Yeah, you’re right.”
Inside his Sea of Consciousness, Lumi quietly sighed with relief,
[Nyss really is nice. It’s such a shame her luck is so tragic…]
Orion shook his head internally, silently agreeing, before once more shifting his focus forward.
As they continued deeper into the labyrinth’s winding corridors, he suppressed his frustration and annoyance, instead fueling his determination to move forward.
’Fine then,’ he thought to himself, resolve blazing in his eyes, ’If my luck is terrible today, I’ll just have to make up for it with my sheer strength.’
The two of them continued to walk inside the maze while Orion looked for some opponents to vent his anger.

Outside the mountain labyrinth, the calm atmosphere lingered lazily, the sun casting a warm golden glow across the rugged landscape. Near the carriages parked at the foot of the mountain, Lucan leaned casually against the carriage frame, his face betraying boredom.
Idly, he tossed a small stone upwards, infusing it effortlessly with mana, sending it soaring thousands of meters into the sky, only to catch it again nonchalantly.
The simple action revealed his incredible mastery over mana, though his bored expression suggested he found little enjoyment in the act.
Edgar, on the other hand, stood calmly beside him, maintaining his usual guarding stance.
Lucan sighed softly, glancing toward Edgar with lazy eyes, “How long has it been, Sir Edgar? Young Master and his friends have been inside for so long. Has he not gotten bored of that place yet?”
Edgar gave Lucan a brief sidelong glance before shaking his head slightly. “It’s only been a few weeks, Lucan. Young Master and his friends should still be exploring. Considering how many noble heirs entered, I’m sure they’ve already clashed multiple times.”
Lucan shrugged carelessly, catching the small stone once again. “I suppose. But staying outside with nothing to do except babysitting these carriages… it’s not very entertaining.”
Edgar’s lips curled into a faint smile. “Then perhaps you should cultivate your patience.”
Lucan chuckled lightly, tossing the rock once more, “Patience isn’t exactly my greatest virtue, Sir Edgar.”
The two men continued their idle conversation, occasionally broken by long periods of silence.
Edgar continued his watchful duty, while Lucan resumed his bored game of stone tossing, both unaware that their tranquility would soon be disturbed.
Abruptly, Edgar’s keen senses picked up something unusual. Instantly alert, he turned his sharp gaze towards the narrow mountain path leading directly to the cave’s entrance.
A lone figure was slowly approaching, an unfamiliar, middle-aged man wrapped in a worn, dark cloak. His steps were calm and steady. A sheathed katana rested lightly in his right hand, exuding an aura of extreme danger.
Edgar immediately stood at attention, his muscles tense and eyes narrowed cautiously. A subtle chill ran down his spine; despite the figure clearly being in plain sight, Edgar hadn’t sensed his approach at all.
His hand swiftly moved toward the hilt of his sword as he shouted sharply, “Halt! Only Tier 8 and below Awakeners are permitted to enter!”
Lucan’s carefree expression instantly shifted, the stone disintegrating as his fingers swiftly grasped the handle of his own sword. His casual demeanor vanished, replaced by seriousness and vigilance.
The mysterious figure paused, slowly turning his head to gaze calmly at Edgar. His voice, though quiet, carried a powerful weight, resonating deeply in their ears, “There is a Supreme Paragon Grade Beast inside. Those young ones won’t survive if they encounter it.”
Edgar’s eyes widened instantly in shock and disbelief. His heart tightened with dread, his hand trembling involuntarily at this revelation.
This unexpected danger surpassed his wildest expectations; an encounter with a Supreme Paragon Beast could end in absolute disaster, as it had enough power to destroy an entire kingdom.
Suddenly, Edgar’s mind seemed to click into place, recognition flashing urgently through his eyes as he carefully studied the cloaked figure.
His voice came out in a tone filled with disbelief, “You—”
The middle-aged man turned around slowly, his calm, steady voice cutting through Edgar’s unfinished sentence. “Leave this place to me.”
Without waiting for Edgar’s response, the man resumed his path forward. The other groups gathered around the carriages, who had overheard the ominous exchange, paled instantly, none daring to even speak a single word in opposition.
Edgar’s hand slowly released the grip on his sword, respect and astonishment mingling in his gaze. He recognized clearly that this matter had surpassed anything he could handle alone.

Inside the labyrinth, Orion’s earlier frustrations had already dissipated significantly after venting his pent-up anger against several unfortunate opponents.
Currently, he walked quietly alongside Nyss, his previously sour mood notably improved. Nyss, observing Orion’s subtle change in demeanor, wore a gentle, sweet smile, clearly relieved to see him in better spirits.
Their footsteps echoed softly against the cold stone floors as they entered another spacious, open chamber within the maze.
Suddenly, just as they stepped into the chamber, Orion’s footsteps halted abruptly, his expression freezing in astonishment.
Standing directly ahead, equally surprised, were familiar faces: Arya, Sylvia, Rina, Fiora, Emilia, Elias, Felira, Kale, and surprisingly Magi.
The group instantly noticed Orion and Nyss’s arrival, their expressions shifting rapidly from initial shock to overwhelming relief and joy.
“Brother Orion!” Arya’s voice echoed clearly, filled with delight and excitement as she quickly approached them. Her bright eyes sparkled with happiness at the unexpected reunion. “We finally found you!”
